A former managing director at a major investment bank, Maureen Sherry, switched gears to earn her MFA at Columbia University. She has written for many publications including Fortune and the New York Times. Her nationally bestselling novel Opening Belle, was optioned by Reese Witherspoon. Her middle grade mystery, Walls Within Walls, currently included in numerous school curricula, has won state literary prizes and been conceptually optioned by JJ Abrams. Her speaking engagements focus on becoming more satisfied with current employment, employee wholeness, mothers re-entering formal work and social responsibility on the job. Maureen is an active board member for numerous non-profits dedicated to public school transformation, financial literacy, college affordability and clean water initiatives. She and her husband are raising their four children and assorted pets in New York City.
